​The Nature Box was a simple concept conceived through watching our children play. Abra, a photographer, would spend hours photographing and documenting the flora of New Orleans, accompanied by her young daughter. Her daughter occupied herself with small magical surprises she found along the path, and so the nature box began. Years later, Abra and Kaci set out to work while their children played. Moving from one activity to the next, eventually the basket of foraged items was opened and the kids rejoiced, creating, laughing, imagining, discussing, sharing, learning. In that moment, Kaci looked at Abra with joy and excitement - realizing that every child should have the experience. The Nature Box was born.
